Presales
Learn about how Metal presales work.
How Do Presales Work?
When a builder creates a presale, the total appcoin supply is divided into two categories:
- App allocation
- Liquidity pool
From both of these categories, 12.5% is earmarked for the presale (total of 25%). Of the remainder, 15% is earmarked for the app vault and 60% for the liquidity pool. This brings us to the final distribution breakdown.
As traders and users buy the presale, Metal tracks the amount of appcoins that have been sold. When the presale completes, the appcoin is bought from the earmarked portions of the app allocation and the liquidity pool. In other words, one half of the presale funds go to the builder, the other half goes into the liquidity pool.
Once this is done, two more things happen:
- The liquidity pool goes live to the public
- The builder gains access to the advanced features of Metal API
What Is Metal API?
For Builders: A successful presale is a signal to keep building. Gain the power of in-app spending, distributing appcoin rewards and secure wallet management from one dependency; that's Metal API.
All crypto complexity is hidden behind familiar API endpoints, allowing builders to focus on creating amazing user experiences.
